Last Updated: 11/14/2007		Carroll County Progressives Mission and Vision Our Mission The Carroll County Progressives have formed to ensure that positive and progressive change is realized within our county. We will strive to change the stigma that is attached to those that have different political views and ways of life. We will strive to bring this county of many communities together to achieve something far greater than what our Commissioners, Maryland elected officials and United States elected officials have abandoned. We strive for unity and understanding within our community, and will work toward positive change for the betterment of all. Our Vision Locally We believe that Carroll County has the ability to welcome people of every creed, and realize the full potential of inclusion. We believe that our group will have a positive impact on how residents of other counties view us on a daily basis, by trying to have progressive ideas materialized into reality. We believe that new County Commissioners will be elected to office in the near future to provide the leadership that many residents of this county want and deserve. We believe we will be key players in removing hate from our children's curriculum and churches against people of any other creed, idea, religion, race, sexual preference and other protected minority groups. We believe that this county is due for enormous change that will be a wake up call for all concerned citizens. Nationally We believe that the Carroll County residents have a say in how our Congressman (Roscoe Bartlett MD-06) votes on current legislation. We believe that our county can mobilize many people to the Capitol to protest the lack of healthcare, education and all combat situations our nation is currently involved in. We also believe that every resident has a voice and must use it to make their opinions known to the county, state, and the world. We believe that residents of Carroll County have the ability to influence strict laws that will punish criminals of all hate crimes, above and beyond all state and federal laws currently in place. We believe that no one should be shunned or belittled for their own personal beliefs throughout our country and we will help to restore our first amendment rights as our forefathers once envisioned.
