2008 Maryland's 6th District Congressional Endorsement
Carroll County Progressives to endorse Robin Deibert for MD’s 6th
District Democratic Nomination
Westminster, MD – January 29, 2008 – The Carroll County Progressives
will be officially endorsing Robin Deibert for Maryland’s 6th
District Congressional seat on January 29, 2008, on the organization’s
website.
After much thought and research Founder
Brad Brown has decided to endorse Robin Deibert for the seat at large.
Having been a very motivated activist on many different issues within and
around Carroll County, Mr. Brown has felt as though our district deserves
a major change in policy for our country. Brown stated, “The only way
that our country will return to greatness will be to elect a person that
will take all of our concerns with her to Washington, D.C.” He
continued, “Roscoe Bartlett has voted against the SCHIP legislation
twice, after receiving a huge response from his constituents and he is in
a two step with George W. Bush for the long haul. This is not the
representative that the people need…”
Although this organization has not been
around for a long time, it has had an impact on many people in this county
and will continue to do so in the future. “I have lived in Carroll
County for most of my life and believed in the status quo for a long time.
After seven long and painful years of a President and an even longer time
with Bartlett, I will do everything in my power to bring change to this
county, state and country.”
Brown has been spending almost every
available hour campaigning for Robin Deibert since she announced she would
be running in the primary election. He stated, “Ms. Deibert has engaged
me in many discussions over the last few months and when asked very tough
questions about the economy, healthcare and the occupation in Iraq, she
has stood up and provided excellent responses and my belief is that she
will be our next representative.”
